Моторола обяви на техния сайт пускането на пазара на USB WiMAX адаптер. Устройството ще работи на 3-те банда одобрени за ползване в света - 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz and 3.5 GHz. За сега има обещание, че ще бъде пуснато в продажба през четвъртото тримесечие на 2008 година.
В отговор на мечтанията и двууменето на Лаз, да се изкажа и аз… От Lenovo се очаква през септември да извадят на пазара ThinkPad W700, който е предназначен за фотографи.
Освен всички мега екстри:

- видео карта Nvidia Quadro FX с до 1ГБ. Като от картата и дисплея се очаква да покриват 72% от цветното пространство Adobe RGB, докато обикновен лаптоп покрива около 40%;

NOKIA expects to start selling mobile devices using the WiMAX wireless standard in early 2008.
WiMAX allows very high-speed internet access from laptops, phones or other mobile devices over greater distances than previous technologies.
Nokia’s closest rival in the handset market, Motorola, also plans to bring its first WiMAX mobile phone to the market in 2008.
Intel, Nokia, Samsung and Motorola all support the open-standard WiMAX as an alternative wireless broadband internet connection alongside third generation mobile telephony networks, on which internet access can be slowed if networks fill up with voice callers.
"Nokia plans to bring its first WiMAX enabled mobile device to market in early 2008," Nokia said in a statement.
WiMAX will make wireless broadband much cheaper to deliver - up to 10 times cheaper than current third-generation cellular telephony networks. But, while it provides fast internet access, it is not very well suited for voice calls.

Montevina will likely support 802.16e-2005, which is better known as Mobile WiMAX. Users should see average download speeds of 2-4Mbps, at least on Sprint’s WiMAX network. Down the road, Intel will likely add support for 802.16m, or "gigabit WiMAX," which offers speeds of up to 1Gbps per channel, but the 802.16m standard is unlikely to be officially ratified by the IEEE before early 2009.
